Positive Reaction Across INDYCAR for the Return to Iowa Speedway

Following the announcement in August that the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will return to race at Iowa Speedway for a doubleheader weekend July 23-24, 2022, the reaction was incredibly positive across the INDYCAR community. Based on the reaction through social media and comments from fans, competitors and partners in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, the series’ Iowa homecoming was the news people were hoping to hear as the excitement continues to build for the upcoming 2022 season.

INDYCAR began racing at Iowa Speedway in 2007 and for 14 consecutive years, the “fastest short track on the planet” has provided some of the most exciting and intense racing the INDYCAR SERIES has seen. During the pandemic-affected 2020 season, INDYCAR hosted a doubleheader weekend at Iowa and, though fan attendance was restricted due to health and safety protocols, the series and its fans welcomed the opportunity to once again shine on the short oval.

With no INDYCAR race held at Iowa during the 2021 season, the appetite for a return continued to grow. With the community-focused Midwest Supermarket company Hy-Vee coming on board as a title partner, the stage has been set for a dramatic INDYCAR “welcome back” to Iowa in 2022. Based on the excitement and anticipation following the announcement of the Hy-VeeDeals.com 250 and the Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 joining the INDYCAR SERIES schedule next season, people are ready to embrace the return to Iowa with open arms:
